The Road Home - oil on birch.

My heart is totally entwined with the swaths of rabbit brush and sage of the high desert and this year I spent a ton of time reveling in their blooms. All I could think about. It’s like being in love but in a really ethereal way. This painting is about that feeling of transcendence you get when your nose is pointed into that blessed distant horizon and you have no where to be except there.
